I only let myself fire from turrets on either end of the motherships. I set up a board myself and played a game of triangles versus circles. The line lengths really vary, as well, which adds a certain level of surprise (and frustration). The pencil thing really does give it this element of skill and challenge that makes it a lot more fun. The mothership can launch as many fighters as it wants. If the other player’s mothership gets hit, it loses a hit point. If a fighter gets hit once, it’s destroyed. The tip of the flick is the first move of the new fighter out of the mothership. ![]() A new fighter launches from the mothership in the same way. If it’s firing, then whatever the mark touches is a hit. If the fighter is moving, then the player should redraw that fighter at the tip of mark, then erase the mark and the previous fighter position. All three kinds of moves operate using the same mechanic: place the pencil’s tip on the paper on the mothership or fighter that’s going to move or fire, hold it straight up by applying pressure on the other end with the tip of your index finger, then lean the pencil back until it flips outward. The player should say which move they are making before doing it. Each turn, a player can either fire from the mothership or a fighter, launch a fighter or move a fighter. ![]()
